Making the choice to follow your dreams can feel totally scary and illogical. But what is the alternative? Living a life where ignore your dreams and aspirations, where you keep hoping and wishing, where you regret not making the choice to follow your heart sooner. That sounds like a very quick way to lose the joy and end up having all kinds of regrets.

We live in a world where it is so easy to get caught up in all the things that we can lose sight of what really matters. I have people saying to me all the time that they wish they could live a life of their dreams. Yet in the same breath, they list off all of the reasons they are afraid to live their dreams.

Really these are just excuses that keep them stuck, feeling frustrated and discouraged. I know because I use to do the same thing.

Maybe you can relate?

I am here to take a stand for you living your best life, a life full of health, abundance, and clarity. Where you live up to your full potential and feel connected to your soul’s purpose. I am living proof that it is possible. Its time for you to get into the driver’s seat and start making your dreams a reality.

Most Popular Excuses:
I don’t know where to start
I am afraid to fail
I am too overwhelmed
I don’t have enough time
I don’t have enough money

Of course, these are all legitimate concerns, but they are not impossible to overcome. There are tons of people who had these same fears but didn’t let them become excuses. I believe in you; I know you have what it takes to make your dreams a reality.

I am not saying to throw caution to the wind, quit your job with no plan. I am saying that with a thought out plan and consistency you can start making your dreams a reality starting today.

Build Belief in Yourself & Your Dreams

Without first building belief in yourself, your journey to creating your dreams will be so much more challenging. I want to keep you from making the same mistakes I did.

When I first started my journey in 2013 I did not start here, because I didn’t realize how important it was. I just jumped into my to-do lists and getting busy making my dreams a reality.

As a result, making my dreams a reality took much longer than I had hoped. I started and stopped multiple times on my journey. It was beyond frustrating. Because of this, I felt like I never made any real progress.

Why? Because I lacked belief in myself, so, please save yourself the struggles I went through and start building belief in yourself from the beginning. Trust me its worth it!

Now is the time to start uncovering your limiting beliefs and stories and facing them head-on. You got This!

Embrace Spirituality & Your Intuition

You have all the answers you seek within yourself.

But we live in a world that teaches us to seek outside of ourselves when we should be going inside to find the answers of our soul. When we make the shift from searching externally to searching within ourselves we find everything we have been looking for.

The most powerful tools that I have found on my journey to creating a life I love are yoga, meditation, and journaling. These things all will help you connect to your soul, your intuition, and will help you find all of the answers you desire along your path.

Stop Comparing Yourself to Other People

It has never been easier to compare yourself not only friends but total strangers. All you have to do is open up your favorite Social Media app. Boom there are thousands of beautifully curated images that are not real life.

Check yourself, go through everyone you are following and ask yourself if you are comparing yourself. If yes unfollow that person or account. If the comparison bug has got you bad think about taking a social media detox.

Make A Plan

No matter what your dream is, doing a yoga teacher training, write a book, become a health coach, or land your dream job, you will need a plan. Start with your dream and then work backward from that dream and the time you want that dream to be a reality. what are the steps you need to take to make that dream a reality? Seek Alignment

Another reason my journey has taken much longer than I had hoped was that I was playing it safe, I was staying inside of my comfort zone instead of truly aligning with my soul’s purpose.  I did this simply because I was afraid and playing it safe seemed like the “smart” thing to do.

What this really did was make me feel lost, confused, frustrated, and most of all I lacked motivation because what I was doing was not fully aligned with my soul’s purpose. I was afraid of sharing my truth and being misunderstood or people thinking it was too woo-woo and out there.

My fears that no one would care about what I wanted to truly share kept me in a box. I wrote about what I thought people would like and what I thought would help people. But it was not my deepest truth so I struggled to motivate myself to do the work.

When I did work it didn’t flow the same as when what I was creating was in alignment with my purpose. Yet I ignored these signs. Allowing myself to feel more lost and more frustrated.

Instead of staying in your cozy warm comfort zone please choose to create your life in a way that is in alignment instead of what feels safe. I promise it will be worth it and you will save yourself a lot of pain, suffering, and heartache.

Learn to Manage Your Time

One of the most common reasons people give for not following their dreams is not having time. Here’s the thing we ALL have the same 24 hours in a day, it’s just about making the best of your time.

Start Saving

Chances are pretty good that making your dreams a reality will come with some kind of costs. So it’s important to look for ways you can start saving money.

What are the extras that you spend money on that you can live without? When I did this I quickly realized I could drastically cut back on eating out. I could stop buying clothes, I already had more than I needed. what are you spending that you could save instead?

By cutting back for eight months I was able to save enough money for my yoga teacher training and living expenses for three months after my training was finished.

Your dreams are within reach if you are willing to make sacrifices up front. Get creative, have fun, and start now.
